If you get the message, "There is no soul gem in your inventory capable of holding such a soul," then you don't have an empty soul gem big enough to hold it. Now, all that is required is to find an enemy, cast Soul Trap, and kill it before the Soul Trap effect expires on the enemy. If no gem stones of the soul's level are available, it will look for progressively higher level gem stones until it finds an empty one to fill. Souls will always fill the smallest empty Soul Gem that can accommodate it. NPC souls can only be trapped in Black Soul Gems. The gem size that is filled depends on what creature's soul is trapped. In order to capture a soul, you need a Soul Gem. This will result in attacks requiring less charge. If you enchant a physical weapon with the effect, it is better to use the 1 sec version of it, because attacking will renew the effect, and the killing blow will fill the gem. As such, weapons with soul trap can be very effective in making sure souls are captured. In addition, you must also have an appropriate soul gem in which to store it. You must ensure that your victim dies before the Soul Trap effect runs out. Note that the spell doesn't automatically cause the soul to be captured. The trapped soul can subsequently be used to create or recharge enchanted items. Soul Trap locks the soul of a given creature or NPC in an empty soul gem immediately after its death. When swapping it will look for the same weapon in your inventory.Enchanting description: If target dies within seconds, fills a soul gem. When enchanting weapons the weapon enchanted isn't considered a new unique weapon even when renamed.Using the drinking hotkey while having a mod which uses drinking animations causes problems when using an alchemy table or enchanting table (it will lock you out).If you then cycle your left hand queue, it will equip an item in your left hand which forcibly unequips your 2h weapon. For instance, if you equip a 2h weapon, it must unequip your left hand. Two Handed Weapons, Bows, Crossbows may only be placed in the right hand queue.įinally, there is some logic to the mod that may not be immediately intuitive. Torches and Shields may only be placed in the left hand queue NOTE: There are some rules as to what items you can put in what slots. Once you're done, exit MCM and press the cycling key (which can be set on the "General" page in MCM") for the corresponding slot and it will equip the next item in the queue. On the page for each slot, you can choose what items to put in these queues and in what order.Go to the MCM Menu "Souls Quick Menu" and you will see there is a page for each of these slots. When done, go back into MCM to turn off assignment mode. The weapon / spell / shout you have equipped will now bind to the currently active queue slot. Press the assignment hotkeys you chose in step 2.While in assignment mode, the current slot gem will be red, not blue, and you will not equip the items in those slots. Use the normal cycling hotkeys for each slot to move the active slot.Exit MCM and equip the items you want to assign.I used L, K, and semicolon, but anything works that isn't already assigned to an action. Assign hotkeys that will be used to assign items to your left, right, and shout slots.Toggle "Assignment mode" on the right side. To add items to your queues, you have 2 options:Īssignment mode was made as an alternative to the MCM lists because sometimes not all of the users items and spells will show up in those lists. This mod adds a queue of weapons/items/spells for each of these slots. You have 4 equipment slots - your right hand, left hand, power, and an item slot. For those of you who do not want to watch the video, hopefully this will explain how to use the mod.
